The Inka Trail Short is the last part and the best of the Inka trail Classic. It did not have a commercial use; there were other more simple, trails to transport products, llamas and people to Machu Picchu. The purpose of the Inca Trail to Machupícchu was religious and ceremonial, and this kind of path have hight engineering. Also, this tour is all included.

Our service starts from the pick up from your hotel in the city of Cusco or the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At 4:00 am bound for the beautiful town of Ollantaytambo for an hour and a half in our private unit. Here in Ollantaytambo, we will have a little time to have a coffee and eat something (snack breakfast not included) and then continue to the train station where you will board the train that leaves for km 104 (start of our walk).
Upon reaching km 104 with your guide you will present your passport with the Inka Trail Short Ticket. Then, we will ascent for approximately 4 hours to the archaeological complex of Winaywayna, passing before CHACHABAMBA, which in Inca times was one of the religious temples for pilgrims to the citadel of Machu Picchu. At the end of this tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with organic products produced in the region.
After a rest, we will continue with our walk for an hour and a half until we reach the INTIPUNKO (The Sun Gate). Finally, we will continue our walk down to Machu Picchu through the last section of the Inca trail until we reach the place where you can take the iconic photo of Machupicchu (postcard photo). After enjoying Machupicchu once more, we will continue to Aguas Calientes by bus to have a Rest and recharge for our next day.

Today in the morning we will have our breakfast at the hotel. To then go to the bus station where we will board and ascend 30 minutes to Machu Picchu.
After the 2 to 3 hour tour in Machupicchu, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch that will be organized by your guide which is not included in our tourist program. At the end of lunch, our guide will say goodbye culminating with his services. Then they will have time to get to know a little more about Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu town) to finally go to the train station which will bring them back to Ollantaytambo after coordinating with your guide. A representative from Caminka Expedition will be waiting for you upon arrival at the train station in Ollantaytambo and then transfer you to the city of Cusco and drop you off at your respective hotels.
